Who is this for: Organization Administrators, Team Medical Staff, Coaches, Safety Officers, and Managers. |
According to health privacy laws the athlete, or their parent/legal guardian in the case of a minor, should always be able to view their health information. In accordance with this, we have made a way for parents and guardians to log into HEADCHECK with their own account. Here are some of the things they can do in HEADCHECK with a Guardian account:
- Review and update their child's medical information in HEADCHECK
- View tests or notes that their child's caregivers have completed for them in HEADCHECK
- Complete an evaluation of their child's current symptoms to give their caregivers an update on their child's current state
- Check which of their child's teams and caregivers are using HEADCHECK
To get the Guardian account set up, you will need to be using a Medical or Manager Account in HEADCHECK or contact our support team at support@headcheckhealth.com. Either a staff member with a Medical, or Manager Account, or our HEADCHECK team will need to input the parent/guardian's name, relationship to the athlete, phone number, and email address into HEADCHECK under the Parent/Legal Guardian section. Then the parent/guardian will get an email with instructions on how to complete their account set up.
Note: If you do not have a Medical or Manager Account in HEADCHECK, you will only be able to update emergency contact information. This is for notifying purposes only and does not create an account for the individual that is listed in this section.
If you have a Team Medical Staff, Manager, or Organization Medical Admin account, then please check the article How to set up a Guardian account for more info, (you'll need to sign in to the Support Center to view this one).
