Who is this for: Team Medical Staff, Organizational Administrators (Stewards) and Organizational Medical Administrators using the Horse Racing HEADCHECK Pro system
If you have navigated to this support page, then you might be using the HEADCHECK Horse Racing system to manage your racetrack. Articles in the Help Center that contain ‘Horse Racing’ in brackets will help you understand how the system differs from our regular system.
Nuances of the Horse Racing System
There are several differences with the Horse Racing system that allow Team Medical Staff (doctors, EMTs, athletic trainers, etc.) and Organizational Administrators (Stewards) to manage their athletes (jockeys) throughout the racing season. Some of these additions include:
- Electronic Accident Reports that should be filled out when an injury or incident occurs
- Electronic Health Questionnaires for medical doctors (MDs) to conduct a physical examination
- A Horse Racing Dashboard to keep track of the above documentation, athlete (jockey) eligibility, and concussion baseline and post-injury testing
Additional Add-ons and Functionalities
Users of the Horse Racing system also utilize the following add-ons and functionalities to manage their athletes:
- Athlete accounts: Enable athletes to view, share, and update their medical information, and perform self-evaluation symptom tests, or pre-fill health questionnaires
- Forms Manager: Enable athletes to log in and e-sign any required forms
- Return to Play Management: Track athletes’ recovery progress after a concussion and log any documentation or assessments in every stage of Return to Ride
